HER

A word to describe her? She is LOVE.

I used to always sleep in her room because of her bouncy bed and it’s just so comfortable lying there while she’s reading her bible.

Whenever it’s nearing 5pm, whatever it is that I’m doing, I stop, I go out and run to her house to have coffee and “pandesal”.

I always adore how deliciously she cooks for us and how plenty she can prepare just for her granddaughters and grandsons.

I’m always amused at how she freely gives EVERYTHING that she has for the people in need; even when she knows nothing will be left for her.

I wondered how she can do almost every task for her family and needed nothing in return except for bars of soap to use and medicines to control her blood pressure.

I was always at awe when every after each back, leg or shoulder pain she’s having, she can still smile cheerfully.

I’m so amazed at how she prepares herself for eternity.

She loves the choir. She loves hymnal songs. She loves having children to participate in Sunday Services. She loves to make us matching night outfits. She loves quiet time with God! Whenever I peek in her room, I always see her reading her bible and reading “The Purpose Driven Life” and “Our Daily Bread"

She rarely ever taught us how to live life here on earth shallowly; rather, she taught us quietly how to live our lives with Jesus Christ being the center of it all. She did it by being an example, being a believer and being a follower.

Her life confessed JESUS CHRIST'S LOVE FOR EVERYONE.

Thank you, Ma.. for showing us how to love the way God does. You’ve shown us how to give freely to others without asking anything in return. You’ve shown us that nobody is too busy to not read the Words of the Lord. Thank you for showing us how to cook deliciously! (Sorry Ma, ayaw talaga ng cooking sakin haha). Thank you so much, Ma.. Jesus Christ shined through you that we were able to see Him and follow Him also.

The day we'll meet again, let's sing together your favorite song, "In His time".

SAVED FESTIVAL 2014

Last June 13, 2014, the Hillsong United visited the Manila again for another concert for their #WelcomeZionAsia tour. After the concert, there were people distributing fliers for Saved Festival, we were all so overflown with happiness and excitement that time that we've already planned that we're going to attend this festival. The guests were unfamiliar for me but I know that it will be a one blessed night-- again.

There were only weeks left before Saved Festival and the tickets were running out. But good thing we got 10 tickets for general admission. We don't really care what seat we're being placed because the message and blessings are distributed equally wherever you are inside the coliseum.

The first performer was the Victory Worship. They are a local band but they produce very, very good music. The song that really got me was Radical Love. It was so powerful that it will make your heart beat faster and you'll want to just shout and scream the lyrics out with all your heart!

Francis Chan's message was truly striking and very inspiring. I like it that he gave so much emphasis on the number of angels that were on God's crown and that it has the same number as the population in the Philippines. I cannot even believe it at first but it's true.

Esterlyn was a new group to my ear but their song captured everyone's heart in the coliseum. They even sang Oceans! This group may not be well-known but their music truly is one of a kind.

Israel Houghton and New Breed lifted everyone's feet from the ground. They are a very good combination! All we did throughout the worship was sing and dance and jump and shout. Honestly, I was really, really tired that time but the feeling inside me made me not want to sit down. I saw some of us already sitting but I just stood up there with my friend, Ald and we were following the dance steps that were being taught. Their performance took a while but they ended it so well. All of us were deeply blessed.

I hope that everyone would know what good music that is dedicated to Jesus really is. They are not good, they are great and will really fill you with overflowing blessing and happiness in your heart. You may find it difficult at first especially during this time because you may be surrounded with people who knows Him but do not believe in Him.

I don't really know what "risk" other people may be feeling when they are told to believe in God. Do not be ashamed if you're praising God, if you're going to church during Sundays, having a devotion every night, posting biblical verses on social media or praying before eating and sleeping. These things are the ones you should be proud of because it's your way in giving back all the blessings that God gave you.

Put your trust in Him. Trust in His timing and His commands. He will never give you a challenge that you cannot overcome. And during those challenges, remember that God is there helping you no matter what situation you are in. He is not selfish. He wants you to succeed, He wants you to be together with Him when you're going to take the first step to His kingdom.

I hope I made a good point and be of good help. ☺

Have a good day~ ♥
