A word to describe her? She is LOVE.
I used to always sleep in her room because of her bouncy bed and it’s just so comfortable lying there while she’s reading her bible.
Whenever it’s nearing 5pm, whatever it is that I’m doing, I stop, I go out and run to her house to have coffee and “pandesal”.
I always adore how deliciously she cooks for us and how plenty she can prepare just for her granddaughters and grandsons.
I’m always amused at how she freely gives EVERYTHING that she has for the people in need; even when she knows nothing will be left for her.
I wondered how she can do almost every task for her family and needed nothing in return except for bars of soap to use and medicines to control her blood pressure.
I was always at awe when every after each back, leg or shoulder pain she’s having, she can still smile cheerfully.
I’m so amazed at how she prepares herself for eternity.
She loves the choir. She loves hymnal songs. She loves having children to participate in Sunday Services. She loves to make us matching night outfits. She loves quiet time with God! Whenever I peek in her room, I always see her reading her bible and reading “The Purpose Driven Life” and “Our Daily Bread"
She rarely ever taught us how to live life here on earth shallowly; rather, she taught us quietly how to live our lives with Jesus Christ being the center of it all. She did it by being an example, being a believer and being a follower.
Her life confessed JESUS CHRIST'S LOVE FOR EVERYONE.
Thank you, Ma.. for showing us how to love the way God does. You’ve shown us how to give freely to others without asking anything in return. You’ve shown us that nobody is too busy to not read the Words of the Lord. Thank you for showing us how to cook deliciously! (Sorry Ma, ayaw talaga ng cooking sakin haha). Thank you so much, Ma.. Jesus Christ shined through you that we were able to see Him and follow Him also.
The day we'll meet again, let's sing together your favorite song, "In His time".
